Episode 4: Sealed With A Kiss

MTV’s Newport Harbor Episode 4 “Sealed With A Kiss”
Clay is in the middle of a waterskiing session with his best-friend Grant. After the session Clay tells Grant that he is still pissed about Chrissy hooking-up with Chase. Clay also tells Grant that when she stopped by his house after he found out about the hook-up, he gave he the cold shoulder and barely talked to her.
Later that afternoon Clay gets a phone call from Allie asking about his plans for that evening. Allie tells Clay that she thinks they should hang out, and he agrees. That evening Clay picks up Allie and they eventually decide to head over to the local miniature golf park for some fun. There is some light flirting during the game, but things stay fairly platonic throughout the course of their time together. On the way back from the course Allie inquires on Clay’s current relationship status with Chrissy. Clay confirms that he is not dating Chrissy and then asks Allie why she doesn’t have a boyfriend. She says she is trying to keep her options open. Clay follows and says he is currently also trying to keep his options open.
Over at Chrissy’s house, Sasha delivers some bad news after Grant tells her that Clay and Allie are on a date together. Chrissy is very upset, and immediately plans to cancel her barbeque, saying that she does not want to see Clay if he is dating Allie. Sasha consoles her and tells Chrissy she shouldn’t cancel her barbeque because Grant is going to help them fix everything.
The next day Sasha invites Grant to the barbeque at Chrissy’s and encourages him to bring his friends, specifically Clay. Grant immediately catches on Sasha’s plan and soon makes his way over to Chrissy’s with his best-friend. Before long Clay and Chrissy find themselves alone in the kitchen where they begin to talk about all of their recent drama. Both agree that they are willing to put the past behind them and give each other a big hug.
The next afternoon Allie is surprised to get a phone call from her ex-boyfriend Chase asking her to meet up for lunch. When she arrives at the restaurant they begin to catch up, grilling one another about their respective love lives. The conversation flows smoothly as they establish that they are both currently single. The flirtingly smile at each other after their revelation and nervously laugh it off together.
That same afternoon Chrissy gets a call from Clay who asks her on a dinner date for later that evening. Chrissy agrees, and after a long day of getting ready, Clay arrives at her door to pick her up. Over dinner Chrissy and Clay compliment each other on how they look and begin to talk about prom. While they dance around the idea of going together, they both agree that they haven’t decided who they’ll actually go with. The conversation turn to relationships and both realize that neither one has actually been in a serious relationship. Clay tells Chrissy that they are on the same page after they both admit that they would like to try to be in a serious relationship.
Before ending their night together, Clay walks Chrissy to the front door of her house when he drops her off. While they thank each other for the good time Chrissy puts her arms around Clay and they begin to kiss for the first time. After a long hug and one final kiss Chrissy enters house and Clay heads back towards his car. That night Chrissy has a huge smile on her face as she closes her eyes to go to sleep.
